St. Helena CA

historic building in St. Helena CA

Charming and vibrant, this community of around 6,000 residents maintains a relaxed, small town feel combined with the ambiance of a sophisticated village. First settled in 1834, St. Helena CA was a rural agricultural center before it evolved into a hub of Napa Valley’s wine industry. Needless to say, tourism is the town’s primary industry, followed by banking and general business.

It is rare for such an idyllic small town to provide refined amenities such as fine dining, upscale boutiques, galleries and world-class inns. Its neighborhoods are charming as well and offer many blocks of lovely homes. Many date back to the 1800s. Head north on the town’s main thoroughfare, under a canopy of Sycamore trees, and you will soon end up at the impressive historic building housing the Culinary Institute of America.
