Healdsburg

Healdsburg CA Plaza and Fountain

Resting at the convergence of the vineyard- and winery-rich Dry Creek, Alexander and Russian River Valleys, Healdsburg CA is a jewel of the Napa-Sonoma Wine Country.  It’s a tranquil community of approximately 11,000 contented residents just 65 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco. First settled by Native Americans of the Pomo people, its recent history began with a post office and general store, followed 10 years later by incorporation as a town. Extension of the Northwestern Pacific Railroad in 1871 brought commerce, agriculture and visitors. Today, the valleys surrounding the town are home to more than 60 wineries and hundreds of acres of world-class vineyards. Tourists and locals alike enjoy the community for its vibrant jazz scene, a wide range of restaurants, charming inns and spas, upscale boutiques and art galleries, and a charming town square.
